The Bahattin Ersoy Room with a capacity of 100 people located inside our İTK Gazi Mustafa Paşa Culture Center, the Yaşar Oğuz Room with a capacity of 80 people where lessons can be held in places other than the classrooms are open to the use of students. Also in these rooms conferences, chats and panels are organized. One of Izmir biggest culture centers with a capacity of 500 people Cahit Gürkan Gym, Turan Çelik Gym consisting of two sections and used for practises are both located in our Bahattin Tatış Campus. The Güven Zeyrek Exhibition is also one of the most important exhibitions on our campus.
After graduating from Adana High School in 1936 he joined The Ankara State Conservatory with Saim Alpago. The same year he got accepted to The Civil Aviation School (Turkish Bird). He took his place among the flight instructors taught by Sabiha Gökçen. After graduation he fulfilled his national service as a reserve officer. In 1946 he took place in the establishment of the Izmir City Theatre. In the meantime he stared in movies in the summertime. In his first movie ‘’Dikmen Yıldızı’’ he stared with Türkan Şoray and in his last and 30th movie with Muhterem Nur. In 1960 he started to work at Izmir Private Turkish College as a director and continiued this job for over 50 years until retirement. With the recognition he won with his plays in the years he worked at the school Cahit Gürkan, brought important names like Haluk Bilginer, Volkan Severcan into the Turkish Theatre. In April of 2015-2016 academic year we put our fitness center, which is cleaned with different periods and adjusted heating according to different weather conditions, into operation within the Cahit Gürkan Gym. In our fitness center there are many sports equipment like treadmills, elliptical bycyle, vertical bycyles, horizantal bycyles, paddles, twists, flat bench press,incline bench,seated arm curl, sit-up table, AB benches. Also, there are showers, changing rooms and locked cabinets were our students can put their personal belongings.With the quality workouts in a fitness center which responds to our workers and youths physical and pyshologcal needs, we believe that they can increase their motivation with the energy that doing sports gives and relieve their stress of the intense academic term with sports. We support individuals who devote themselves to sports and enjoy making it a part of their lives.
Bahattin Ersoy was born in 1922 in Izmir. After completing his primary school education in Şehit Fethi Bey Primary School he continued his middle school education at Izmir Boys High School. After his high school graducation, he took the first steps of his dream of becoming a teacher in Istanbul. He started his education at Istanbul Teaching School as a Chemistry Teacher. Bahattin Ersoy graduated in February 1948 and did the first part of his internship at Izmir Atatürk High School. He completed the rest at Malatya High School and he worked there as a teacher until he was called for his military duty in 1956. After his military service he continued his job as a chemistry teacher and vice principle at Uşak High School. In 1960 he started to work as a Chemistry teacher in Izmir Private Turkish College. Yaşar Oğuz was born on February 5th 1932 in Izmir. He completed his middle and high school education in Izmir Girls High School. After finishing high school Yaşar Oğuz took a 4 year break from his education. In 1955 he got accepted to English Department in Gazi Education Insitute and graduated as an English teacher. At the end of his first year he continued his education in America for some time. After being assigned to Kars High School as an English Teacher Yaşar Oğuz resigned from his government duty and starting working at Izmir Private Turkish College between the 1957-1958 academic year. In 1964 by taking the Fulbright Exams he got a one year education in Americas Texas Univercity with a scholarship. After his language education went back to his job at Izmir Private Turkish College. In 1968 he transfered to the American Dependents School in Izmir where the children of American military personnels studied. After İTK got its Anatolia High School status in 1982 he starting working there again as the Head of the English Department. The architect of the quality education at İTK Yaşar Oğuz, retired in 1999. He was born in 1935 in Ayvalık. His bond with his valuable teacher Artist Prof. Adnan Turani, whom he met during secondary education, his interest in art gradually changed into passion. After finishing Ankara Gazi Univercity Education İnstitute in 1957 he settled in Izmir. During the years 1957-1987 he was a Art History teacher at Izmir Private Turkish College. During these years he was well known with the exhibitions he opened in Izmir, Istanbul and Ankara. Apart from teaching, Güven Zeyrek is an important artist who perpetuated his own style in the contemporary Turkish Painting. He entered the painting exhibition competitions of institutes and institutions like DYO and Vakko and won many awards. In years 1983-1984 he met Prof. Dr. Süleyman Velioğlu. He joined the Akatünvel Art Community which was established by Süleyman Velioğlu. Between the years 1985-2000 he made related investigations in the Florence, Venicei Nice, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Sarajevo, Wien, Budapest and Prag – Odessa- Sivatopol Musuems. In 1957 in the 50th year of his art career he held the Retrospective (including the Stages of Return and his whole art career) exhibition in the Kbele Art Gallery. The same exhibition was later on exhibited in Izmir Ataturk Cultur Center. Güven Zeyrek made over 500 works of art in his art career of over 50 years between the years 1957-2009. ITK Uşakizade Mansion, the completing structures surrounding the mansion and the Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha Cultur Center in the back area of the mansion, was presented to the world of culture. Different institutes and/or people can organize exhibitions in İTK Gazi Mustafa Kemal Pasha Culture Center located in the back of the mansion. With this aspect the ITK Uşakizade Mansion offers a different atmosphere bringing together history and art to art lovers. Field Capacity 140 m2 / Heating / Air Conditioning.
Was born in 1928 in Yozgat. He continued his college education at the Commercial Science Academy until the final year. In this last year of university he couldn’t avert his passion for sports and made a major decision and got accepted to Gazi Education Insitute Departmen of Physical Education and Sports. He got married with his classmate Mrs. Sevim after graduating. Afterwards he drew Kastamonu as his duty place but he wanted to do his military service. During his military service in the 1950s he played in the Air Force Academy Basketball Team. The team he was in became champions. Çelik became a teacher for 8 years after completing his military service. Wherever he went accomplished great things in the name of basketball and by establishing the first basketball team of Kastamonu the city gained a court. With the guidance of his friend Faik Gökay, in 1958 he entered the assistant exams and became an assistant. He worked for many years. Later on Çelik established the English and Physical Education Department in Izmir and Bornova. After that he worked at Buca Education Faculty. As he was working there he was assigned to Kütakya Şaphane Village. Çelik, who had worked in universities for many years, asked for his retirement after the assigning decision. Having a big role in Turkeys first Girl Basketball Team being established he has broke many other new grounds. Turan Çelik, continued his carrier in 1983 at Izmir Private Turkish School and worked their with the ITK family for many years. The saloon consisting of two compartments is used for practise.
