Message from Our Executive Board

Dear Parents, Dear Students,
Founded in 1950 with the passion for education of Mathematics Teacher Bahattin Tatış, İzmir Özel Türk Koleji continues to work for education with the mission of raising “contemporary, balanced, and happy Turkish youth who can make the right choices and contribute multidimensionally to themselves and their surroundings,” in the light of Atatürk’s principles and reforms.
Today, with our Bahattin Tatış, Büyükçiğli, Marmaris, Bornova, and Manisa Campuses, we stand among not only the Aegean Region’s but also Türkiye’s most well established and distinguished educational institutions.
With efforts aimed at increasing our students’ multifaceted development and achievements, we place great importance on accelerating our growth every day in line with a constantly renewing world, technology, and environmental conditions. We educate young people who generate new and useful ideas, respect different views and cultures, question, use feedback effectively, and not only consume technology but also manage and shape it.
İTK students are educated as resilient, inquisitive, and leader-oriented individuals who can adapt to a constantly changing world. The pride and responsibility of educating leaders who shape and guide the future create the motivating energy shared by all stakeholders of İTK.
Success must be multidimensional. Not only academic success, but also social success is important. The criterion of success is being a healthy, balanced, and happy individual. For this reason, we support our continuously developing curriculum with nearly one hundred club activities in science, arts, sports, and technology. In line with our students’ interests, we prepare them for all forms of future competitive environments by enabling stage performance, public speaking skills, and active participation in sports and artistic fields. In addition, through various educational and instructional activities, we enable them to develop and discover themselves by taking roles in different learning models such as extracurricular studies, project work, social responsibility projects, and domestic and international trips. With supports prepared and managed by experts such as university guidance, overseas university research and application support, mentoring, and career counseling, we strive to ensure that our young people take their first step into university as well prepared as possible for an ever-changing career landscape.
Our Deep-Rooted Educational Philosophy and Strong Academic Staff
In a constantly changing world, we closely follow continuously evolving pedagogical approaches and educational technologies. We use these in the most effective way for the education of our children and young people.
By integrating essential skills such as resilience, leadership, social communication skills, teamwork skills, and analytical abilities, which are needed by individuals who can adapt to change most comfortably and even guide change, into educational and instructional processes, we implement programsı programmes that provide both knowledge and skills.
In our country and around the world, the name İzmir Özel Türk Koleji is frequently and respectfully mentioned both through the diligent efforts and achievements of our students and teachers, and through the work of tens of thousands of our graduates who have left their mark on life. Through our alumni association activities, we continue to strengthen the communication network among graduates in order to ensure that our new graduates receive support from this strong culture as they step into life.
I would like to thank each and every member of the strong İzmir Özel Türk Koleji Family, including students, teachers, parents, alumni, and employees who proudly carry the name İzmir Özel Türk Koleji, for the values they create. With the rightful pride of educating young people who change and develop the future, we move forward with confident steps on the path to becoming a centuries-old institution.
