PRESCHOOLS
Educational Approach
At İzmir Özel Türk Koleji preschools, the educational approach is structured with a modern and contemporary understanding that places the child’s holistic development, Turkish culture, and Atatürkist values at its core.

Play-Based Education
In preschool programs, play is the most important learning tool for children. Children learn “by moving and having fun”; therefore, the learning process becomes more lasting and effective.
Project-Based / Inquiry-Based Learning
Project-based studies are conducted to develop children’s thinking skills and to support their ability to conduct research, use information, and solve problems.
Developing 21st Century Skills
The school program is structured to provide children with competencies in areas such as foreign languages, arts, technology, and sports. In addition, modern educational methods such as “Understanding by Design (UbD)”, “Flipped Learning”, and artificial intelligence are utilized.
Holistic Development
Not only academic development, but also linguistic, emotional, social, physical, motor, and cognitive development are taken into consideration. Classrooms and materials are organized to support this multidimensional development.
Safe, Interactive, and Appropriate Environment
Classrooms are designed with children’s safety and comfort in mind and are equipped with interactive and colorful materials that stimulate students’ curiosity. Outdoor areas such as gardens, playgrounds, and greenhouses are available.
Atatürk’s Principles and Reforms
At the foundation of the educational approach lies Atatürk’s ideal of “free-thinking, free-conscience, and enlightened generations”. Love for Atatürk, awareness of homeland and nation, and the values of the Republic are instilled in children through age-appropriate activities.
Values and Character Education
Universal daily values such as love, respect, responsibility, sharing, and tolerance are integrated into routines. It is aimed for children to internalize values such as social awareness, tolerance, responsibility, and sharing.
