A Message from our Chairman

Let us raise such a youth…   İzmir Özel Türk Koleji was founded by a young mathematics teacher, Bahattin Tatış, my father, who devoted himself to education and lessons started on November 15th, 1950. The young teacher went to Ankara with the dream of founding a private school which would carry the torch of education as a  priority. The then head of the Board of Education and Discipline shared the dream of this teacher and told him the following words:

Dear Parents and Beloved Students, Founded in 1950 by Mathematics Teacher Bahattin Tatış with a passion for education, İzmir Private Turkish College continues to work for education with the mission of raising "contemporary, balanced, and happy Turkish youth who can make the right choices and have extensive contributions to their surroundings and themselves" in the light of Atatürk's principles and reforms. Today, with our Bahattin Tatış, Büyükçiğli, Marmaris, Bornova, and Manisa campuses, we are one of the most established and pioneering educational institutions not only in İzmir but also in the Aegean Region.
