Through the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department, all students at our school are monitored by taking their developmental stages into account. In this way, our students can easily access the support they need in addressing challenges related to adolescence.
The Psychological Counseling and Guidance Department contributes to students becoming self-aware, self-confident, socially adaptive, strong in communication skills, sensitive to their environment, happy, healthy, capable of making sound decisions, able to express themselves effectively, solution-oriented, and creative individuals.

Services for Parents

The most effective way to deliver Psychological Counseling and Guidance services is through cooperation within the parent–student–school triangle. Students may have different needs and challenges at each educational level.

Families may also be affected by these situations and may not always be fully aware of underlying issues. In all cases, involving families in the process and working collaboratively is one of the most effective ways to achieve positive outcomes.

Starting from the first day of school, orientation programs and ongoing individual and group activities are carried out for parents to support students’ school journeys more effectively. These activities cover the following areas:

19.50 Parent Seminars

Inspired by the founding year of İzmir Özel Türk Koleji, the 19.50 PDC Seminars are traditional monthly parent gatherings held across our five campuses and simultaneously broadcast on social media, featuring expert speakers in their fields.

The seminars begin at 19:50 on a designated evening each month and are conducted in a warm atmosphere accompanied by a shared meal. The aim of the 19.50 Parent Seminars is to share current topics in the field of PDR with İTK parents and to build a strong communication network in the journey of raising well-informed individuals.

Parental Awareness Workshops
Parental Awareness Workshops are closed-group parent workshops led by İTK PDR specialists, lasting a minimum of four weeks. Beyond general parent seminars, these workshops focus more closely on parents’ individual experiences with their own children and are conducted face-to-face and/or online. The primary goal of these group studies is to increase awareness.

Newsletter Publications
Newsletter articles are published to share information with parents on topics where they seek guidance and updates.
