A student who schedules an appointment for an enrollment interview is subject to a preliminary assessment by the Enrollment Admission Committee to evaluate the student’s readiness for the school and the grade level they are applying for.
During the preliminary assessment, factors such as expert interview records, Parent Information Forms, and the student’s academic proficiency in core subject areas are taken into consideration.
New Enrollments for Our Preschools
Children may be enrolled in our kindergartens as follows:
from 24 months for age 3, from 36 months for age 4, and from 48 months for age 5.
A Primary School Readiness Test is administered to students who are 60 months old. Placement in a higher or lower class appropriate to the student’s level of readiness is determined jointly by the student’s parent or guardian, the school psychologist, and the school administrations.
Enrollment and transfer requests regarding matters not specified here may be processed upon the recommendation of the relevant school principal and with the written approval of the Özel Türk Koleji Board of Principals.
New Enrollments for Our Primary Schools
Children between 54 and 66 months of age may enroll in our Primary School Preparatory Classes. As of the end of September 2025, children aged 57–68 months may also be enrolled.
Enrollment for Grade 1 of primary school is carried out directly for children aged 66 months and above. For children aged between 60 and 66 months, enrollment is based on the results of the Primary School Readiness Test and parent opinions. Children who have completed 69 months of age by the end of September of the enrollment year are enrolled in Grade 1. In addition, children aged 66, 67, and 68 months whose parents submit a written request may also be enrolled in Grade 1.
For enrollments to Grades 2, 3, and 4 (intermediate grades), students are admitted after an Academic Level Assessment Activity and a guidance and counseling (PDR) interview.
All results are evaluated by the Primary Education Directorate, after which enrollment approval is granted. Enrollment and transfer requests regarding matters not specified here may be processed upon the recommendation of the relevant School Principal and with the written approval of the İzmir Özel Türk Koleji Board of Principals.
Transition to Our Middle Schools
Students applying for enrollment in Grade 5 are admitted to the school through a Preliminary Application.
Grade 5 students applying for enrollment after the Preliminary Application period are required to complete the necessary information forms, followed by a Guidance and Counseling (PDR) interview and then an Academic Assessment Exam.
Students transferring to Grades 6, 7, and 8 are required to complete the necessary information forms, followed by a PDR interview and then a Level Placement Enrollment Admission Exam.
The results of the candidate student’s Academic Assessment Exam are evaluated by the School Administration, taking into account the school’s ATS average, after which enrollment approval is granted.
Students whose previous school achievement and Enrollment Admission Exam results are above average may be admitted to academic assessment exams upon approval of the school principals.

Transition to Our High Schools
Students applying for enrollment in Grade 9 submit a Preliminary Application and are admitted based on the results of the Academic Assessment Exam. Enrollment of students who meet the specified score requirements is completed after interviews with the Assistant Principals and PDR specialists, and with the approval of the school principal.
For students wishing to transfer to Grades 10 and 11, the results of the Ministry of National Education exams taken at their previous school, along with course grades and disciplinary records, are evaluated.
Transfers are not accepted for Grade 12.
In addition, a meeting is held with the parent and student together with a PDR specialist, and an Academic Assessment Exam is conducted to evaluate Academic Achievement and Core Competencies. After all results are evaluated by the high school principal, enrollment approval is granted.
