While enabling participants to acquire the technical knowledge and skills needed to express their ideas visually, the competition also enhances their sense of connection to life.

Designed to provide a suitable environment where young people can reveal their artistic potential, the İTK Bahattin Tatış National Painting Competition supports the personal and social development of students of school age. Middle and high school students are encouraged to engage in painting, fostering cultural and artistic awareness. In this way, a strong foundation is created for young artist candidates to discover and develop their talents.

Social and artistic activities throughout the competition process are planned and implemented in a way that does not disrupt education and instruction. Participants have the opportunity to increase their interest in art within an inspiring and supportive environment where they can showcase their creative abilities.

The competition is open to associate, undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students enrolled at universities in the Republic of Türkiye. International students may also participate. Special categories are prepared for middle and high school students, offering a platform where young talents can freely express their artistic potential.
