As İzmir Özel Türk Koleji, with a deep-rooted educational tradition since 1950, guided by Atatürk’s principles and reforms, we prepare our students for the future through a contemporary, innovative, and international approach to education.
Our aim is to raise confident, responsible, creative, and happy individuals who achieve academic success as well as active participation in social and cultural life.
In line with these goals, we offer enriched learning environments that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and linguistic development of our students by taking into account their individual developmental characteristics, abilities, and interests.
A pioneer of contemporary education since 1950, İzmir Özel Türk Koleji brings together a deep-rooted tradition with a vision for the future through the Bahattin Tatış Campus. Located in İzmir Konak, at the Mithatpaşa Street Köprü Stop, the campus is the center of a strong educational journey extending from kindergarten to university, with ITK Mithatpaşa Kindergarten, Primary School, Middle School, Anatolian High School, and Science High School.
Situated in the heart of İzmir, the Bahattin Tatış Campus offers students a safe, disciplined, and inspiring learning environment with its rich historical heritage and contemporary educational infrastructure. The campus provides comprehensive educational opportunities from kindergarten to high school, extensive sports and cultural facilities, and the advantage of easy access to city life.
Boarding Life
A Second Family, A Safe Home
The ITK Bahattin Tatış Campus is not only a school but also a living space where a strong sense of belonging is fostered. For our female and male students staying in separate dormitories within the campus, a living environment is provided with regular study programs, social clubs, cultural trips, and sports activities.
With a school doctor, infirmary, dining halls, and healthy nutrition policies, the safety and comfort of our students are always prioritized.
The boarding section of the Bahattin Tatış Campus enables students to continue their educational lives in comfort and security with a modern accommodation approach.
In separate dormitory buildings for female and male students, an organized daily life is established under the supervision of on duty administrative teachers twenty four hours a day.
Rooms accommodate 2 to 4 students and are furnished with ergonomic furniture.
Hot water is available at all times, along with laundry facilities, study halls, and relaxation areas.
Regular cleaning and hygiene inspections are carried out every day.
Study hours, supported by guidance counselors, strengthen academic achievement.
Weekend activities, cultural trips, and artistic and sports activities enrich students’ social lives.
The Bahattin Tatış Boarding Department is a living environment where students gain independence, responsibility, and self discipline, while also growing up with a sense of home warmth.
Physical Facilities and Campus Life
The Bahattin Tatış Campus has a comprehensive infrastructure including modern educational buildings, a large conference hall with a main hall for 550 people and additional seminar halls, a hobby center, fully equipped laboratories, computer classrooms, an infirmary, dormitories, a store, and dining halls.
The presence of the Uşakizade Mansion within the campus offers students both a cultural and aesthetic foundation.
Sports, Health, and Band
Through campus sports facilities and cooperation with the İTK Sports Club, students benefit from swimming, team sports, and individual training opportunities, while an active sports culture fosters discipline and team spirit.
The İTK Band, with its dedicated band room and regular rehearsals, transforms students’ artistic talents into stage discipline and becomes a source of energy, harmony, and pride in performances representing the school. The band symbolizes uniformity, rhythm, and collective achievement within our culture and arts tradition.
Dining Hall and Nutrition Policy
In the campus’s spacious and hygienic dining facilities, balanced, seasonal and high nutritional value menus are prepared under the supervision of expert dietitians.
The school kitchen operates with strict adherence to hygiene standards and follows a daily fresh cooking principle, while portion sizes and nutritional balance appropriate to students’ age groups are carefully planned. Healthy nutrition is an integral part of the school’s educational vision.

Transportation and Location
Thanks to its central location in İzmir’s Konak District, the campus provides easy access to urban public transportation networks. Safe and comfortable transportation is available for students through metro, bus, and tram connections.
Uşakizade Mansion
History Transformed into an Educational Home
Located at the heart of the Bahattin Tatış Campus, the Uşakizade Mansion is not merely a building but a living part of İzmir’s cultural memory. Built in 1860 by the Uşakizade family, the mansion connects the past and the present with its elegant architecture and historical atmosphere.
Visited by Atatürk during the early years of the Republic, this mansion has transformed over the years into a culture center shaped by education. Today, located within İzmir Özel Türk Koleji’s Bahattin Tatış Campus, the Uşakizade Mansion hosts art events, conferences, club activities, and special gatherings, enabling students to develop with a strong sense of historical awareness.

Transportation can be provided from Konak by using ESHOT bus lines 10 and 15, by taking the tram from Mustafa Kemal Coastal Boulevard and getting off at Köprü stop, or by using the İZMİR metro and getting off at Hatay station and continuing via İnönü Avenue.
